Changjosoft (the "Company") complies with the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea and other applicable laws while providing the Memoril app (the "Service"), and handles users' personal information as described below.

1. Information we collect and how

Data saved by guests who have not signed in (links, thumbnails, memos) is stored only on your device and is not sent to the Company's servers. AI summaries are available only to signed-in users (Section 3).

2. Purposes of use

Account management: sign-in, multi-device sync and backup, account deletion
Providing the Service: storing, displaying and searching saved reels, generating AI summaries
Subscription management: verifying paid entitlements, restoring purchases, preventing abuse
Stable operation: handling errors, preventing abuse (rate limiting)

3. AI summaries and data transfer notice

When you run [AI summary] on an item, the caption snapshot and thumbnail image of that reel are sent, via the Company's server, to our AI processing provider (Google Gemini API) for the purpose of generating the summary. Video and audio are neither collected nor transferred. The transferred data is used only to generate the summary, and the result is stored in your item.

Automatic AI summaries (an optional subscriber feature — it works only if you turn it on in Settings): each time you save a reel, the same data (caption snapshot and thumbnail image) is sent for the same purpose. On iOS the summary is reserved on the server right after saving; the caption and thumbnail are deleted from the server as soon as processing finishes, and the result is deleted once the app has received it. Turning the setting off stops this immediately.

Only the minimum information needed to provide the Service is sent to overseas processors, and it is protected under each processor's security and privacy policies.

5. Retention and deletion

Account, content and subscription information: deleted immediately when you delete your account — the items, thumbnail files, AI summaries and entitlement records on the server, together with the customer record at our payment processor (RevenueCat), are deleted.
Local data stored on your device remains on the device regardless of account deletion and can be removed by uninstalling the app.
Information that applicable laws require us to keep (for example, transaction records under the Korean Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce) is stored separately for the period required by that law and then destroyed.

6. Your rights

You can delete your account at any time from the app's Settings screen (processed immediately), and you can request access to, correction or deletion of, or suspension of processing of your personal information through the contact below. The Company will act without delay. If you have uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, see Account deletion.

7. Security measures

Encryption in transit (TLS); authentication tokens kept in the device's secure storage (Keychain/Keystore)
Isolation between users (every server query is scoped to a single account)
Least-privilege access and environment-separated management of secret keys
