Terms of Service
Effective: 2026-09-23 (v1.1 — Article 5 subscription transfer clause revised, announced 2026-09-16) · previous v1.0 effective 2026-09-03 · 한국어
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms set out the conditions of use of the Memoril app (the "Service") provided by Changjosoft (the "Company"), and the rights and obligations of the Company and its users.
Article 2 (The Service)
- The Service is a personal archiving tool that stores, displays and searches the link, thumbnail snapshot, caption snapshot and memo of reels that you share to it through Instagram's share feature, for your personal keeping.
- Video files are not stored, played or re-hosted; playback happens by opening the Instagram app or website.
- AI summaries are generated only from the caption and thumbnail captured at the time of saving; video and audio are not analyzed. Information that is not in the caption may not appear in the summary.
Article 3 (Accounts)
- The Service can be used without signing in (as a guest), in which case your data is stored only on your device.
- When you sign in with a Google or Apple account, your saved data is tied to that account and server backup and multi-device sync are provided.
- You can delete your account at any time in the app's Settings. Upon deletion, all of your data on the server is deleted immediately and cannot be recovered.
Article 4 (Free tier)
- Free users can keep up to 20 saved items and use AI summaries 3 times in total.
- If you come to hold more items than the limit (for example after a subscription expires), viewing, editing and deleting existing items are not restricted; only saving new items is restricted.
Article 5 (Paid subscription)
- Subscription product: an auto-renewing subscription at KRW 2,900 per month (VAT included; the price shown in the store applies), which provides unlimited saves, multi-device sync and 300 AI summaries per month (including the optional automatic AI summary when saving).
- Payment, renewal and cancellation follow the recurring-payment rules of Google Play or the Apple App Store. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and it can only be cancelled from the subscription management screen of the store you paid through.
- After cancellation, benefits remain until the end of the period already paid for, after which you return to the free tier (Article 4).
- Refunds follow the refund policy of the respective store.
- A subscription entitlement belongs to the single account that paid for it. If you sign in with a different account and try to subscribe or restore purchases, the subscription is not transferred while the original account's subscription is active (sign in with the account you paid with); once the original account's subscription has expired, it is transferred to the new account. One subscription can never be used by two accounts at the same time.
Article 6 (Fair-use limits)
To keep the Service stable, the following limits apply: 50,000 saved items and 300 AI summaries per month. These are levels that ordinary personal use is unlikely to reach; when a limit is reached, the corresponding feature may be temporarily restricted.
Article 7 (User obligations)
- The Service must be used for personal keeping only. You must not infringe third parties' rights, for example by redistributing or publicly posting the stored thumbnails or caption snapshots.
- Abnormal automated access, exploitation of vulnerabilities in the Service, and unauthorized use of another person's account are prohibited.
Article 8 (Intellectual property and ownership of content)
- Memos you write belong to you.
- The copyright in thumbnails and captions remains with their original authors; the Service stores only snapshots for your personal keeping.
Article 9 (Changes to or suspension of the Service; disclaimer)
- Changes in the policies or technology of external platforms such as Instagram may restrict some features (for example, thumbnail collection). The Company strives to provide the Service reliably, but its liability for feature restrictions caused by external factors is limited.
- AI summaries are automatically generated and may be inaccurate; the Company does not guarantee the accuracy of summary content.
- Unless caused by the Company's willful misconduct or gross negligence, liability for damages arising from the interruption of or errors in free features is limited to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Article 10 (Changes to these Terms)
The Company may change these Terms to the extent that doing so does not violate applicable law. Changes will be announced on this page 7 days before they take effect (30 days for changes unfavorable to users).
Article 11 (Governing law and disputes)
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes shall be brought before the court having jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
Addendum
These Terms took effect on September 3, 2026. The revised Terms announced on September 16, 2026 (v1.1 — Article 5, subscription transfer clause) take effect on September 23, 2026.
